I AM GOING THROUGH HARD TIMES, AND MY CAR IS ABOUT TO GET REPOED. MY PAYMENTS ARE 524.93. I WOULD LIKE TO TRADE IT IN FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE CHEAPER. BUT I HAVE BEEN TURNED DOWN TWICE. I AM TWO PAYMENTS BEHIND. BEFORE THAT I NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT.WHAT CAN I DO?
Lenders all seem to have different requirements, so we aren’t able to answer specifically what has to be done. What I can do is tell you what would give you a better chance at helping this situation. If you can borrow money from a friend or family member to get up to date on payments, that would help your situation out greatly. If that isn’t an option, you can talk to your existing lender and let them know your current situation, and how you would like to resolve it. Sometimes they’ll work with you, sometimes they won’t. If you’ve already been turned down twice, an auto refinance may be difficult, but unless you fill out the application, there is no way to know.
